GIBRALTAR'S FOLEY MEMORIAL.
DEAD-HEAT IN OAKLEY HANDICAP. TARPORLEY AND RULING KING WIN. The Avondale Jockey Club's autumn meeting opened before a good attendance in glorious weather, and will terminate on Wednesday. The track is in capital order. Three horses paid dividends in the Rosebank Handicap. Tarpor ey beat Royal Survey in the High-weight, in which the favourite finished fifth. There was another dead-heat in the Oakley Handicap, but this time only Holly Lu and Impudent returned their supporters a dividend. In the principal handicap, Gibraltar was too good for Great Star and Puriri Park.
