AMERICAN APPLES.
EFFECT OF BRITISH TARIFF. DECREASED SHIPMENT. (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON", March 31. Importations of American apples decreased remarkably since the imposition of the 10 per cent duty. There are sixteen million bushels in coltl storage, which is half a million above the figure for 1931 at this date, an evidence of the big increase there had been dn importations from the United States.
