BARGAINS BOUGHT.
QUEEN GOES SHOPPING.
LONDON, March 24,
A willow-pattern teapot costing 1/, a 21-piece tea service for 6/, and an Axminster rug for 5/, are among the Queen's bargains from a cheap multiple store in Oxford Street. She entered informally, and spent half an hour in examining the wares and mingling with other purchasers.
She constantly asked the origin of articles, and was pleased to hear that many were British.
