OPOTIKI HERD TESTING

The following figures have been released by Mr. T. H. Pearson, secretary of the Opotiki Herd Testing Association, for the month of February:— Group average: 1863 cows, 6251b milk; 4.5 test, 28.271b fat.

Highest, herd averages: Up to 50 cows, Mr. S. Fisher, 46 cows, 39.21b fat; 50 to 100 cows, Mr. W. Beattie, 68 cows, 30.841b fat; over 100 cows, Mr. J. G. Murray, 113 cows, 30.81b fat.

The highest herd was that of Mr. S. Fisher, 46 cows. 39.21b fat. The highest cow was Mr. W. Young's Flyer, with 61.501b butterfat.
