KARANGAHAPE ROAD RENTS. CITY COUNCIL REFUSAL. Applications from 15 shopkeepers in Karangahapo Road, tenants of the CityCouncil, for a reduction in rent were before the council at last night's meeting. After reading a report from the property inspector setting out the reductions which had been made—in some cases four reductions in the last two years—it was decided that no further action be taken to bring down the rents in rcspect to the properties under review.
