DINNER PARTIES.
Over eighty guests attended the dinner given last night at the Station Hotel for the B.M.A. delegates and their wives and families. Mrs. W. A. Fairclough and Mrs. E. H. B. Milsom were in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Fairclough wore a iloral chiffon in tones of parchment and cherry, and Mrs. Milsom a frock of deep wine brocade and lace. Another dinner party was given by the members of the Women's Medical Association. Autumn-coloured flowers were daintily arranged on the dining table of the Pacific Club for the occasion, the green walls making a restful background. Speeches were delivered by Dr. Gladys Montgomery and Dr. Buckley Turkington. The toast of the association was proposed by Dr. Doris Gordon, and Dr. Ada Patterson, of Wellington, replied. Dr. Elizabeth Bryson proposed the toast of the Federation of University Women. Bridge was played after dinner.
