STOLEN CARS.

TWO MEN SENT TO PRISON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Wednesday. Two young men, Lawrence Henry Diamond and Norman Perawhiti, appeared in the Magistrate's Court to-day on a series of charges of theft and unlawful conversion of cars at Shannon, Tokomaru, Palmerston North and the surrounding district. They were sentenced to three years' detention in a Borstal institute.
