FIRE BRIGADE CONTROL.
TAKAPUNA COUNCIL'S VIEW. A resolution that the time had come when the control of fire-fighting in Takaptvna should be placed in the hands of a fire board was carried at a recent meeting of the Takapuna Volunteer Fire Brigade. In moving last night that the council record its opposition to the formation of a tiro board, the Mayor, Mr. J. Guiniven, said the proposal would most likely be rejected if a poll were taken. The time was not yet opportune. The council unanimously supported the Mayor.
