RURAL CREDITS.
CONFERENCE AT HAMILTON DISCUSSIONS IN COMMITTEE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) / HAMILTON, Monday. Sixteen remits were considered by the conferehCa of Rural Credit Associations at Hamilton yesterday. They were discussed in committee, and as they were of a confidential nature tlieir purport was not disclosed. Those adopted were in the nature of recommendations to the Central Board. In closing' the Conference, the chairman, Mr. J. N. Massey, said that the discission on the remits had be'en marked by an fibsence of destructive criticism and ! b.v an appreciation of the benefits which the rural credits scheme had already afforded the farming community. It was clear from the discussion that the delegates considered the Central Board was working oil sound lines, and the remits adopted wei*e in the direction of developing the system and making the regulations more elastic and effective. The Relegates were seized with the importance of exercising prudence at the present tithe and their suggestions would be a valuable guide to the board.
