NORTHCOTE HIGH SCHOOL.
HEADMASTER'S MANY TASKS. Application for the appointment of a separate headmaster for the Northcote District High and Junior High Schools was resolved upon at a meeting of the committee last evening. It was stated that the appointment of an infant mistress for the junior high school had been made in place of Miss W. E. Sutton, who had been appointed to another position, but that the new teacher had not yet appeared. It was decided to point out to the Education Board that the headmaster at presenthas to take the duties of the additional assistant in the district high school, take classes in the junior high school and supervise a primary school three-quarters of a mile distant, where the staffing was by no means adequate or satisfactory.
