MR. DONALD MUNRO.

A veteran of the Maori War, Mr. Donald Munro, died at the home of, hit daughter, Mrs. A. Donald, Alexander Road, Papatoetoe, on February 25.' Mr. Munro was born at Caithness, Scotland, 84 years ago, and arrived in, New Zealand in 1806 by the ship Silver Eagle. Two years later Mr. Munro joined the Constabulary in Hamilton, and afterwards served during the war in Taranaki. Mr. Munro later went farming at Paterangi, Waikato, retiring in 1915. He leaves nine children.
