DISTRIBUTION OF LIQUOR. WHISKY IN BARBER'S SHOP. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, this day. John Farquhar Mcßae was fined £200, in default 12 months' imprisonment, for conveying spirits on which full duty had not been paid. Accused took 17 bottles of whisky to a hairdresser's shop where the liquor was seized. The prosecution stated that accused was a distributing agent for an illicit distillery. The magistrate expressed the view that he was equally culpable with the distiller.
