DRAFT AGREEMENT?

Britain and France on War Debts and Reparations.

TWO-HOUR CONFERENCE.

(" Times " Cables.)

LONDON, February 12.

The Paris correspondent of "The Times" says a draft agreement between France and Britain on reparations and war debts has been completed. The concluding stage was reached after a conference between the French Premier, M. Laval, and the British Ambassador, Lord Tyrrell, which lasted two hours.

The exact text of the agreement is not to be published until after the British Foreign Minister, Sir John Simon, has approved it. However, it is believed that the two Governments agree to pursue a joint course of action for a final settlement of the reparations and debt problems at the Lausanne Conference in June.

If the other Governments agree to the holding of the conference in June, an announcement regarding the scope of the conference will be made in the near future.
