A FRONT BENCHER.
MR. POLSON IN THE HOUSE
During the three years he has been a member of Parliament, the Inde-pendent-Coalition member for Stratford (Mr. W. J. Poison) has occupied a seat at the back of the Chamber, but it is more than likely (says the <'Evening Post") that when Parliament meets towards the end of this month he will be a front-bencher. Mr. Poison has claimed a seat alongside Mr. H. Atmore, the Independent member, who in the last Parliament occupied a front cross-bench with Mr. W. B. Taverncr, who was defeated at the general election.
Mr. R. A. Wright (Coalition Reform, Wellington Suburbs) has claimed the seat formerly occupied by Mr. J.- B. Donald immediately behind the Treasury benches, and the Chairman of Committees, Mr. S. G. Smith, has also claimed a seat behind the Ministers.
