" PEOPLE'S DAY." f[|j HUNTING AOT> RING EVENTS. TO-DAY'S JUDGING AWARDS, f j Fine weather prevailed for the second day of the Franklin A. and P. Society's forty-seventh annual show. There was a large attendance, special trains from, all parts of the province bringing full quotas. In addition to the ordinary showring events, several competitions such as stock riding, children's judging, shearing and butterfat guessing were held. This afternoon the competition for the William Ferguson Massey Cup for the best all-round hunter drew" a large entry, such well-known competitors _as Heather Belle, El Arish, Toby, Vanity and Ginger Mick performing. The competition was inaugurated in 1926 and was first won by Miss. ; ;A. Kelso's Patch. Since then Major A.', M. Samuels' El Arish has Avon the trophy on four occasions.
