LOWER POWER CHARGES.

TO HELP DAIRY FARMERS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TAURANGA, Friday. A substantial reduction in the charges for power for milking machines is to be made by the Tauranga Electric Power Board. The board decided that a further discount of 5 per cent be allowed off the present selling price of motors, that the payment of instalments on the motors he optional during the months of April, May and June, and that the interest rate on the amount outstanding be reduced from 8 per cent to 6 per cent. The question of supply of current to the Waihi Beach area was considered, and the board agreed to the request of the Thames Valley Power Board for a further conference between the two -boards.
