AUCKLAND VETERANS. ANNUAL REUNION YESTERDAY. The annual reunion of members of the Auckland Veterans' Bowling Association took place In Ideal conditions at the Auckland green yesterday. The semi-final of the Auckland Bowling Club's Anniversary Day tourney was plaved last evening, and resulted:—HardieNeil Foster, R. Wilson, M. Walker (Auckland) 25. v, W. H. Smith, Nield, Pegler, Forbes (Manurewa) 5. PAPATOETOE CLUB. Teams to represent the Papatoetoe Bowling Club against the Howick Club on Wednesdav are: —Gilmore Cup: Didsbury, Birrell. Booth, Waters: Wills, Kretsehmar, Btickton, Civil. Inter-club; McFarland, Bygrove, Watson, Ranum. WHANGAREI RINKS FINAL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The final of the Whanparel Bowling Club's fours competition was played oft yesterday afternoon between X). White, Piggott, H. Cowper and F. Coburn. winners of the Thursdav section, and W. Dawson, Mullins, W. "Telfer and F. Cutforth, victors in the Saturday section. The game was interesting throughout. Coburn wanting three to tie on the twentieth head, and he succeeded. Coburn held the shot on the last head and it looked a certaintv that he would win, but a big surprise" was in store, as Cutforth, with his last bowl, got a "wick" off the timber and ran into the head, taking Coburn's shot bowl out to hold one and win by IS—l7. ELECTRIC LIGHT PAIRS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. P. Armstrong and P. Everett were the onlv pair to register three wins at the pairs tournev held under electric light on the Whangarei Club's green last evening. Four rinks were engaged.
