KING'S WIN AGAIN.

Ponsonby made a good but unsuccessful effort, after having lost three for 17, to overtake King's first innings score of 215. S. G. Smith and Lendrum put on nearly CO runs for the foijrth wicket, the veteran batting aggressively for 42. Lendruni played a good 44 and then Montelth hit up 22 in quick time. With 143 on for seven wickets, Ponsonby looked to have a lighting chance and V. Williams was playing steadily, but at 20 he was caught at the wicket off the fast bowler, Simpson, and the last wicket added only ten runs, leaving King's winners by 40 runs oil the first innings. With the strain off. King's hit up 115 for live wickets in the second innings. King's fast bowler, Simpson, was more accurate than usiral and kept the Ponsonby batsmen pegged down in getting the line average of six wickets for 50 runs on a good wicket. Scores:— KING'S OLD BOYS.
