The Marine Department of New Zealand and the Board of Trade of the United Kingdom recognise' attendance at day classes in Engineering in according remission of part of the workshop service required to qualify 1 for examination as an engineer in the Mercantile Marine. j Both day and evening classes cover the requirements for the Institution examinations of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and also th« London City and Guilds examination.
