ANNIVERSARY DAY.

INTERFERENCE WITH BUSINESS. The Anniversary Day holiday, and tlie question whether it should be held on Saturday or Monday, was briefly considered b}' the executive of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce to-day. The president. Mr. A. M. Seaman, said that as Anniversary Day next year would fall on a Monday the question would not arise again until January, 1934; and the matter was referred to a committee to consider whether a permanent day should be fixed, that would interfere as little as possible with business.
