STAKES AGAIN REDUCED.

AUCKLAND RACING CLUB. AUTUMN AND WINTER MEETINGS. The Auckland Racing Club has decided .to reduce the stake money for their autumn and winter meetings, with- the exception of the Great Northern St. Leger Stakes and the Great Northern Oaks, run at the former fixture. The stakes for these races, and also the Champagne Stakes, were decided upon before nominations were called. At the autumn meeting the stakes have "oeen reduced from £9150 to £7350, a decrease of £1800, while at the winter meeting they have been lowered from £11,050 to £8275, a decrease of £2775.
