WHAKATAXE LICENSEE FIXED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHAKATAXE, this clay. Alfred Hayter, licensee of the Whakatane Hotel, was yesterday lined £5 for keeping his licensed premises open after hours for the gale of liquor. He pleaded guilty. The prosecution stated that the offence occurred at 11.30 p.m. on December 10. Defendant was represented by counsel. Mr. S. L. Patcrson, S.M., ws,s on the Bench.
