FREE FUNDAMENTAL CHURCH.
At a largely-attended meeting held in the Grafton Library last evening it was decidcd to form the Free Fundamental Church of New Zealand. The Rev. Dr. H. N. McLean, former minister of th«: Presbyterian Church at Helen sville and latterly of the United Evangelical Church in Auckland,- was appointed to the charge of the new church. Dr. McLean had resigned the United Evangelical Church and was about to leave New Zealand. when he consented to remain in Auckland.
The meeting elected the following officers:—Mr. J. W. Woodbury, Sunday school superintendent: Mr. J. Stanford, treasurer; Mr. R. O. Tomkins, secretary; Messrs. Houston. Warnock and W. J. Jordan, committee for church accommodation; Messrs. <T. Ferguson, S. Smith, Stanford, Tomkins and Woodbury, committee for membership and organisation; Mrs. M. A. Williams, hospital visitor; Mrs. E. J. Scofield, organist, and Mr. Woodbury, choirmaster.
