GUARANTEE by government
INDUSTRY'S RESPONSIBILITY

WELLINGTON, Monday
With one important exception the Government guarantee on fruit exports tor the 1032 season has been renewed on almost exactly the same basis, according to an official.statement by the Sew Zealand Fruit Export Control Board to-day. The Government guarantee is renewed on the basis of 11/ a ease for the extra fancy and fancy grades ot the more important varieties. A sum of »/ a ease will be guaranteed for the extra fancy and fancy grades of the less important varieties and for good grades ot all varieties. The only exception relates to Stunners, on wliie.li the guarantee will be 11/ a ease only until April «jO. On Stunners sorted for export oiwmd alter May 1 the guarantee will be 7/ a case, irrespective of grade. , . v The guarantee will only apply to approved varieties which arc shipped from New Zealand on or before May to. The Government in the past undertook the full responsibility of the guarantee. It is now asking the industry to bear a portion.
