GIFTS FOR THE POOR.

» A RADIO APPEAL.

A correspondent signing himself "Williamson Avenue" complains that after he and his family had got together a box of groceries and other goods, in response to an appeal from 7ZR studio for help for the poor, the box was not called for, though the studio was notified more than once. We are informe dthat the appeal launched by IZR was very successful, about £100 and a large quantity of groceries being given. Altogether some 300 cases of hardship were dealt with. Every effort was made to collect gifts, but it is possible, says the organiser, that some were overlooked.
