The arrest of 200 Frontier Red. Shirts and the sentencing of 48 of them to six months' imprisonment with hard labour has quietened' the situation on the North-west frontier.

It appears that the objective of about 3000 Red Shirts was to force their way into Kohat, near Peshawar, but troops foiled the plan..
