"WIZARD" SMITH'S PLANS.

LEAVING ON SATURDAY,

TEST OF CAR ON BEACH.

Mr. Norman "Wizard" Smith and his speed party will leave Auckland at midday on Saturday for Ninety-Mile Beach to prepare for the attempt on the land epeed record. Mr. Smith's car, the Fred H. Stewart Enterprise, will be shipped to Awanui on Saturday and will be taken overland by motor truck to tlie beach. The huge car will be tested and tried out as soon as the beach is suitable.
