Mr. J. Rowe, president of the Auckland Trotting Club, who was suddenly taken ill after the first race at Alexandra Park yesterday, and had to be removed to his home, is doing well. Mr. Rowe has been ordered two weeks' rest by his doctor and will therefore not be present on either of the two remaining days of the meeting.
