A NEW BEVERAGE.

TOMATO JUICE RECOMMENDED,

At the last meeting of the Tomato and Stone Fruit Growers' Association, Christchurch, an address on tomato juice as a beverage was given by Mr. H. M. Taylor.

"When I was in America I noticed tomato juice in the restaurants, the homes, and, in fact, everywhere," said Mr. Taylor. "Seeing it on the menu, I thought I would try it, and I found it palatable and good. It quenches thirst, has an alkaline reaction, and is very popular. In time I got to like it. It is one of the first things called for at restaurants."

After some discussion it was decided to make further inquiries with a view to finding out the possibilities of taking action.
