DANGERS OF VOTE SPLITTING.
Mr. W. J. HoMsworth apparently does not belong to the "country before party as evidenced bv hi> recent vote splitting m Roskill electorate. Auckland West is another glaring instance of the evils of vote spl"UB& wherein personal ambitions made a presen of the seat to the Labour party. The latter* success is largely due to lack of vote ?J !ll " in = by Labour candidates. A few more of tHW unequal contests at the ::cx: election aD f \ will find the Labour party in control of tue coveted Treasury benches.' Then we will h^« a sample of what Australia is now through. As long as party politics hold s« a 7 the majority of people will vute for the party and not for the individual. W.t.r.
