SEVERE INJURIES.

M.P. IN HOSPITAL, jtfOTOR CAR CAPSIZED. BOt. RUSHWOBTH'S MISHAP. COMPANION UNSCATHED. (By Telegraph. —Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. Mr. H. M. Rushworth, M.P. for Bay of Islands, was hurried to the Rawene Hospital late on Saturday afternoon, after a motoring accident in which he was severely injured. To-day he was reported to be progressing well Mr. Rushworth was travelling with Mr. Jones, of Pararaka, when the motor ear skidded in loose metal at the Waimate turn-off and capsized- Mr. Jones escaped serious injury, but Mr. Rushworth's right leg, which was injured in the war, was broken, the tendons of his left wrist were cut, and he suffered slight injuries about his head.
