WRESTLING TO-NIGHT.

WALKER-PINTO CHAMPIONSHIP. * To-night frill bring together the two catstanding -wrestlers of the season, George Walker, British Empire champion, and Stanley Pinto, New Zealand heavy-weight title holder in a contest which should pack the Town Hall with excited fans. Although this will be the fourth meeting of Walker and Pinto, it is easily the most interesting, as it will not only find the champion of champions, but will settle the dispute regarding the ability of the two men. Pinto has a decision to his credit, while the other two bouts resulted in drawn decisions, so that Walker will have to win to prove that he is the equal of the American. That he believes he can beat Pinto is proved by his acceptance of the tetter's stipulation that the winner will take the whole of the __ proceeds, instead of the usual percentage for winner and loser. It may be taken that both will be out to win as soon as possible. and in any way at all that may present itself. AMATEUR TOURNAMENT. One of the many attractions at the Blind Institute fair on Saturday afternoon, which drew an interested crowd, were the wrestling bouts by local amateurs. Mr. J. Simpson (Otahuhu) was referee, and afterwards, with F. Baker, gave a demonstration of the various holds. The results were:— Baker beat Holehouse, gaining a submission fall in the final round, after a keenly contested match. Kisha Bana drew with Kissen, after an excellent bout, in which neither got a fall. D. Skeltin beat C. Passmore on points. the winner's weight and strength telling on his lighter oponent. R. Hobbs drew with S. McKay, neither securing a fall. This was an exciting bout, both showing a good knowledge of the game.
