MOTOR CYCLE RACES.

NORTH SHORE CLUB. Fine, warm weather aud some excellent races were the factors that made the North Shore Motor Cycle and Sports Club's race meeting at Henning's Speedway, Mangere, a success on Saturday. K. Vinell was the moat successful rider of the afternoon, winning the fourth, fifth and sixth races on his Velocette. Alby Lemon won the third, and in the sixth was leading for two laps-, when his motor petered out and he was forced to retire. L. Perry won the first event comfortably, and the side-car event went to W. Marett. Results in detail are:— 365 cc Handicap.—L. Perry (—-), 1; Len Sowerby (Velocette), 2; S. Brooks ( —), 3. Time not taken. Side-car Race. —W. Marett (8.5.A.) 1; .1. Roberts (Indian). 2; R. G. White (Douglas), 3. No time taken. The winner won the event easily. The third man was making a race of it until, at the close of the second lap, he shot a plug, which immediate]v put him out of the running. One Lap Scratch Race.—A. Lemon (A.J.S.). 1; Leu Coulthard (Sunbeam), 2; Len Sowerby (Velocette), 3. Time. 57s> Coleman holds the record for one mile and a quarter, his time being in the vicinity 515 Handicap, seven, laps.—R. Vinell (Velocette), 1; C. Cuthbertson (Sunbeam), 2; L. Perry ( —), 3. Time, 7.5 1-5. 365 cc Championship, five laps.—vinell 1, Sowerby 2, W. White 3. Won easily.
