DEATH OF FOOTBALLER.

BUE TO HEABT FAILURE. CORONER'S VERDICT. A verdict that death was caused by sudden heart failure, was returned by the coroner, Mr. W. R. McKean, SJVL, at the inquest held this afternoon into the death of William Samuel Harris, aged 26, of 10, Sunnyvale Road, Green Lane, who dropped dead at Carlaw Park on October 31. Deceased, a member of the Newton team, was playing in a seven-a-side contest, N"ewton v. Devonport, when he fell, and died within a few minutes. There was within four yards ofhim, and evidence was given that the game was hard, but cleanly contested. A post-mortem 'examination showed that deceased was suffering from heart disease.
