The annual cricket match between the town and country elevens commenced today. Country collapsed, and the side was all out for 15S (Hayward 46, Lowry 3b, Beck 33), Griffiths taking four -wickets for 51 runs McGirr three for 40, Crook one for *>0. Duncan one for 25. Town responded ■with 316 for seven wickets (Dempster ISO, Bi"car SO). J. Newman took four wicket? for 52 runs, T. Reaney two for 26 and Cutler one for 133. Dempster hit four sixes, one five and 25 fours. PRIMARY SCHOOLBOYS' GAMES. The draw for Saturday in the new primary schoolboys' competition is: — Y.M.C.A. A v.
