Nine feminist organisations, including the British Commonwealth League, have written expressing regret that no women were included in the new National Ministry, which step they consider retrograde. They cite the conspicuous success of the Duchess of Atholl- as Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education during 1924-1929.'
