SPRING

18, Marne Avenue,

Sandringham,

Dear Peter Pan and Wendy,

I have a rather pretty notion of spring, r Perhaps you will.think.it is spring fever, but although I have never before told anyone what I think about spring,, I assure you that I am quite sane.' Spring is like a.wedding procession. First come gentle breezes, scattering before the bride the loosened leaves. The bride is the plum, tree and indeed, what bride ever.looked more dainty and sweet than she dressed in her frock of pure white,' with touches of green here and there ? When the glory of the bride had passed on, lo ; here come the bridesmaids, the peach trees in their sweetly pretty frocks of both pale.and.dark pink., They go and what is this I see? Why the flower girls of course. In their exquisite frocks of white and pink, surely the apple trees.. are far more radiant than any bride. Thus the procession ends, but let us thank Him above that it will come again next year. I remain, Your Loyal Member, Marjorie Bradley.
