WHANGAREI, this day., |! In the Whangarei Compensation Court yesterday John James Whimp, a farmer, '0. Whakapara, claimed £893 from the .Whangarei County Council in connection'with a piece of land taken by the council under the Public Works Act for a quarry site. Claimant said the stream running through, his land Avas polluted by the of the quarry and the' value W the land depreciated by a reduction ''/ road frontage, cutting off access to V? back portion of the land, and spoil- -•'■ building sites.
