American tourists to the number of 96 from the steamer Malolo arrived in Rotorua by special train yesterday and proceeded without delay to view the thermal attractions of the district* The first visit was paid to Whakarewarewa, where the touriste were -given a welcome by Maoris. In the evening many of the visitors attended a Maori concert. ' This morning visits are being made to Tikitere and the five-lakes. The weather is showery. The visitors state that they are very much impressed with: the wonders of the region.
