WELLINGTON-BUENOS AYRES. CONVERSATION A SUCCESS. SEVENTEEN THOUSAND MILES. (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A unique telephone conversation took place at 2 a.m. on Saturday between Mrs. Malcolm Miller, of Wellington, and her cousin, Mr. Archie Henderson-Scott, in Buenos Ayres. The conversation, at least at this end, was easily distinguishable, although there, was a certain amount of noise, as is usually the case in long-distance telephone communication. The call, which was arranged by the British Post Office authorities, was the longest commercial call they have jzl put through, the distance being 17)000 miles, although in a direct line the distance between Wellington and Buenos Ayrcs is only about 7000 miles.
