ANNUAL CHURCH MEETINGS
ST. PAUL'S, DBVONPOET.
The Eev. W. Lawson Marsh presided over the annual meeting, which "was well attended, of the congregation, of- St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Devonport. Mr. J. S. Fairgrave submitted the report of the session, wMch showed a membership of 255, and stated that the various activities were satisfactory. The secretary of the board of managers, Mr,. W. S. N. Mac Lean, said in spite of depressed times the receipts on general accounte ihad maintained tie level of more prosperous years. The financial statement submitted br Mr. H. Eobertsori showed gross leceipts £1300. Tbjj assembly, schemes -had benefi'ted to the' extent of £292, and the debt on the manse was reduced by £134. The following officers were re-elected: Messrs. A. Bailie, A. Blackie, J. Gray, E. L. Skinner and W. S. N. Mac Lean. Messrs. G. Falla and J. S. Fairgrave were elected representatives on. the Council of Christian Congregations. '
ONEHTJNGA CHURCH.
The annual meeting of the congregation of the Onehunga Presbyterian Church was presided over by the Eev. D. D. Scott. The report slowed 233 on'the Communion roll; 51 members in five Bible classes, and 320 scholars in five Sunday schools. The accounts showed total receipts from all sources exceeding £1000/ of which almost onethird lad been contributed to missions, social service, and. tie earthquake fund, wlereas in 1905 only £12 was donated to outside objects.
Messrs. N.'-Eenfell, J. E. Bowman and Dr. J. Kirkwood were re-elected to the board of managere, and' Messrs. E. Falla and Lisle Davies were appointed to fill vacancies. Messrs. D.. G. : Cole and H. Murdoch were reflected to the Council of Christian Congregations. .._ - The meeting expressed appreciation of the work of the "minister and Mrs. Scott, and the practical assistance in meeting the difficulties arising out of the finan-. cial depression. The special efforts of some of the lay workers also came in for commendation.
Miss Eobb submitted the annual re:port of the Sunday school, which showed a roll of 173 scholars. At the annual General ' Assembly examinations ■ there were .65 prize-winners from the school, including five 'who won. . Presbytery prizes. , - -*(.•*'..:•. .• , . . . ■'. .
HOWICK" CHURCH.
At the annual meeting of tie congregation of. the . Presbyterian.. Church .at Howick tie Eev.-D. Mclntyre presided. Eeports slowed tie ordinary income to be only slightly less than that of the previous year. Tie interest in all tie activities connected .with j tie. church were, well maintained, and tle : attendance at ile Bible class and Sunday school was stated to be very encouraging.
