MONEY FROM UNEMPLOYED.
£700 IN "FIDELITY BONDS."
SENTENCE OF IMPRISONMENT.

WELLINGTON, this day.
Mr. Justice MacGregor to-day sentenced Nellie Limpus, aged 49, to 12 months' imprisonment on cach of 13 charges of theft and one* of false pretences, the sentences to be concurrent.
The charges involved a sum of approximately £700, which prisoner obtained in the form of "fidelity bonds" from motor lorry drivers to whom she offered employment. j ~ ■ His Honor said that for some months Limpus had been carrying on a deliberate system of fraud, and most of the sums of money appeared to have been taken from people out of work.
