HENDERSON.
The twentieth annual meeting of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Henderson, was held last night, the Moderator, the Rev. Eraser Barton, presiding over a good attendance of members and adherents. The session clerk, Mr. B. R. Younger, reported that the church services had been fully maintained throughout the. year,- Afternoon services had been held at Oratia, Glen Eden and Henderson Valley. The number of members on the roll was 74 (Henderson 61 and Glen Eden 13). For the first four months the church was under the ministry of the Rev. C. E. Perkins, who was then transferred to another charge, and. for the remainder of the period the Revj. W. H. Nicholas, who had been doing good work. The report of , the secretary and treasurer. Mr. C. M. Spencer, indicated that the year had been one of constant concern to the managers owing to the prevailing depression. The erection of a Sunday school hall had, however, been carried out. The report of the Sunday school indicated that it was in a flourishing condition under the superintendency of Mr. Fordyce and nine teachers. The number on the roll was 77, with an average attendance of GO. while the membership of the Young ■ Worshippers' League was 45, with an average attendance of 36. The ladies' guild had done good work in raising funds for the maintenance of church work, and an enthusiastic vote of thanks was accorded to -its members. Mr. Souter was elected a member of the session, and the following were-; elected managers for the ensuing year—Miss Duncan, Mrs. Fenney and Messrs. McLeod, Coop, Spencer, Dalley, Fordyce and .Duncan.
