TROTTING TRACK.
A QUIET MORNING.
NO FAST WOKK
With the Waikato meeting taking place on Saturday next it was thought there would be some interesting work done at Jspsom this morning, but there was nothing outstanding and no attempts were made at putting up fast times. The cinder track was the only one used. A. Julian worked his team early, Gold Treasure and Worthy Cause both pacing nicely. Benefice was another who was indulged in a useful sprint. Auto Machine was sent a mile and a half, which he traversed in 3.34, going comfortably. He was accompanied by Prince Etawah for a mile and a quarter done in 3.0. Prince Etawah has been going well in his work. Torpedo Huon was worked a couple of miles unhoppled. He paced his last half in 1.13. Explosion and Holly Boy worked a mile and a half in 3-0. Explosion trotted in great style and had Holly. Boy. well beaten after going a mile. Moko Girl and Great Ballin went a mile and a half in-3.46, Great Ballin going the better of the pair at the end, but Moko Girl trotted well and solidly. Carnui was given easy pacing. Margaret Wallace and Mati Herbilwyn were companious over about a mile and. a quarter, both going comfortably. • Oliver Thorpe was allotted an easy task.
