OPEN SINGLES COMPETITION
The executive of the Auckland Bowlins Centre has decided to extend the, closing date of entries for the open singles competition, to be held on December 8, to Monday. when a larger entry is expected. Owiiii,to'the rnin on Saturday it lias been felt that a number of intending competitors not being on their respective greens have overlooked the closing date. - . RAWHITI PAIRS TOURNEY. At the Rawhiti Bowling Club's green on Wednesday, 25 pairs competed in a pairs tournament. .Results: — Section A.—Kerr (Onehunga), White (St. Heller's), Kussell (Remuera), 4 wins tacli; W. Hardley, 3 wins; Carter, 2 wins; Thomson, Eaves, Preston, 1 win. In_ sec tion tie play off Kussell defeated White, and Kerr won the section by beating Rus sell. Section B.—Ball (Carlton), 5 wins, won the section outright. Livingstone (Onehunga), 4 wins; Macpherson (Rawhiti), 3 wins; Jenkin (Carlton), 3 wins; Katterfeldt (Rawhiti), 2 wins; Garland (Remuera), 11 wins; Walker (Auckland), 1J wins; Culpln (Rawhiti), 0. Section C. —Bennett (Takapuna), 4 wins; Duncan (Carlton), 4 wins; Westbrook (ISllerslie), 3 wins; Young (Remuera), 2 wins; Watson and Brown (Rawhiti), 0. In the play-off Bennett defeated Duncan. J. Kerr and W. Ball meet in the semi-flnai, and the winner will try conclusions with Bennett.
