CHINESE CHARGED.
FALSE PRETENCE ALLEGED.
A middle-aged Chinese gardener, Fong Sang, alias Fong was placed in the :dock at the Police Court, before Mr. F. K.' Hunt, StM., .this morning' on a charge that at Auckland, on or, about September ,4,,. 1030,' he obtained from Will Grant, Ltd., the. sum of ±30 by means of a false pretence. It alleged that accused, had stated, to David Gold water that certain goods and chattels owned by him were not already mortgaged, whereas actually they were mortgaged to R. Roberts. . Accused was'remanded for a week.
