SANDWICHES GALORE.
John Bull is so busy nowadays that he must take his roast "beef in thin slices I between two pieces of 'breads Egg and bacon sandwiches, "club," or "three-decker" sandwiches, made of toast and hot chicken, salmon sandwiches of cheese and salad, and a variety of other toothsome sandwiches are now served at biirs in London instead of three-course lunches. "People have discovered that a sandwich can be as satisfying as a meal if it is properly made,'' said the proprietor §f a London sandwich bar to a "Sunday Express" reporter. "Vitamin values are considered when arranging sandwich meiius. If a busy man can take an appetising and nourishing meal in ten minutes instead of an hour he has more time to attend to his work.'? Women workers also have acquired the sandwich haJbit. They find that they can do a little shopping in their short puncheon interval if they receive immediate service at a sandwich bar instead o waiting in a crowded restaurant to be served.
