Prince Sees Patient Under
Cancer Treatment
X-RAY WONDERS
(Received 10 a.m.)
LONDON", November 25
The .Prince of Wales, visiting the Royal Northern Hospital at Holloway, watched a patient undergoing the new fluorescent ray cancer treatment which Dr. Gouldesbrough afterwards explained. He told the Prince that he was convinced the treatment, which he originated only four years ago, had immense possibilities. It was now being tried in Australia, Canada and India.
"What about radium?" asked the Prince, who was surprised when he was told that it was no longer so popular with doctors.
In the X-ray department the Prince saw the'bones'of his own hand, also a nurse's heart beating behind the fluorescent X-ray screen.
