Y.M.C.A. REUNION.

ACTIVITIES IN SPORTS. PRESTIGE OF INSTITUTION. The annual banquet and reunion of the Y.M.C.A. sports clubs and the Young Men's Division .was held in the Y.M.C.A. concert hall last evening, Mr. E. Kitchener presiding. The way in which Y.M.C.A. traditions were upheld by the various sports clubs was a great advertisement for that body, said Mr. C. H. Furness, president of the Y.M.C.A. The chairman of the Young Men's division, Mr. R. H. Horsley, said he was proud to say that the association could hold its own in most sp_orts. There was not a liner gymnasium in New Zealand than that in Auckland. He said that the sports clubs were a great benefit to the institution, giving it added prestige in the commercial world. He paid a tribute to the work of Mr. J. H. Miller, secretary of the Young Men's division. Mr. H. Frost, chairman of the management committee of the Auckland Rugby Union, Dr. Neil McDougall, chairman of the control board of the Auckland Football Association, and Mr. P. Shaw, of the Auckland Cricket Association, spoke on behalf of their respective sports. Musical items were given by Mrs. R. E. Frater, Messrs. 11. Taylor and R. M. Beswick and Barry Ingall's Hawaiian Trio. Mr. L. Elliott acted as accompanist.
