. A temperature of 90 degrees would be considered refreshingly cool in some parts of the world. At Berber, in the Egyptian Soudan, the thermometer often registers from 116 degrees to 120 degrees; at Duem, in the same district, the temperature rose as high as 127.4 degrees last March; and in the Great Desert of Africa a temperature of 133 degrees has been reached!
